Data We Collect

When you make a purchase: your email address (entered during Stripe checkout), the product you purchased, the amount paid, and the transaction date.

Automatically when you visit the store: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the pages you visit and their timestamps, and the URL you arrived from.

When you download an ebook: the Stripe checkout session identifier used to authenticate your download.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your email address and order details on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — these are necessary to fulfil your purchase and deliver your ebook.

We process IP addresses, page visits, and browser information on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure and functioning store and understanding aggregate usage.

We retain financial records for as long as required by Romanian accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), which is 10 years.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to process and fulfil orders, send download links by email, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and performance of the store. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with advertising networks.

Data Processors

Stripe, Inc. (USA) processes payments on our behalf. Stripe operates under Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers. See stripe.com/privacy.

Resend delivers purchase confirmation emails on our behalf. We pass your email address and download link to Resend solely for this purpose.

Cookies and Local Storage

Stripe sets functional cookies during the checkout process that are required for payment to work. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies from third parties.

Your browser’s local storage may be used to remember whether you have previously purchased an ebook on this device, so we can show you a download button without requiring you to locate your confirmation email. This data stays on your device and is only used to display the download button; your session identifier reaches our server only when you actively initiate a download.

Data Retention

Purchase records and associated email addresses are kept for 10 years in accordance with Romanian accounting law. Site analytics data (IP addresses, page visits) is retained for 12 months.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure (subject to legal retention obligations), request restriction of processing, receive your data in a portable format, and object to processing carried out on legitimate interest grounds.

Supervisory Authorities

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For UK residents: the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) at ico.org.uk.
